Our Business Started with the Perfect Gift!

The story starts on Block Island, a small island off the coast of Connecticut, a favorite spot for our youngest son Kevin. Kevin wanted a hitch cover of Block Island and couldn’t find one (despite the many gift shops there). Rich, a craftsman and Michelle (thats me!) an artist got to work and made our first product and gave a custom hitch cover to Kevin for Christmas. What followed were requests for mermaids, dogs, islands, lakes, airplanes, anchors, American Flags…and a business was born, Stonington Designs! All because we made something special and memorable for someone we loved!
